With the winter season upon us, it is easier now to be more active. A sport you can try is cycling which has numerous health benefits such as boosting your brainpower, improving your heart, and helping you lose weight.

Mag-invest na at bumili ng bike para ma-inspire ka to lead a more active lifestyle. Mayroong mga foldable bikes na affordable at mabibili sa mga sports stores para hindi ito mag-take up ng too much space.

In a recent health article from Bicycling.com, below are three reasons highlighted which should inspire you to start kicking those pedals soon.

Boosts Brainpower
Sa isang study na ginawa ni Charles Hillman noong 2007, they found out regular physical activity can help strengthen your memory and can help prevent Alzheimer’s disease later on. Pati sa mga bata, maganda ang epekto ng cycling dahil makakatulong ito sa muscle development nila at tamang disiplina pagdating sa katawan. Nakakatulong din mag-prevent ng Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD).

Improve Your Heart
With the growing prevalence of heart disease even on young people, it is important to take good care of our hearts. Cycling is a good exercise for your heart and your soul as it is a good stress-reliever as well. Ang pagiging aktibo on a daily basis will help lessen the chance of developing high blood pressure.

Lose Fat
Para naman sa mga nagda-diet ngunit walang pagbabago, eto na ang sagot. Kailangan talagang mag-exercise to aid your weight loss efforts. Hindi pag lessen lang ng pagkain ang solusyon. Regular cycling, can help women and men melt visceral fat, aiding in the prevention of developing diabetes which is one of the silent killers of this generation.

Super beneficial for one’s health ang cycling. There are a lot of Filipino groups who are cycling enthusiasts kaya if you’re just starting, you can join one para mas enjoyable ang healthy hobby na ito. There are also a lot of cycling tracks provided by the UAE Government kagaya ng Al Qudra at Nad Al Sheba Cycling Tracks. Mayroon ding allotted cycleways sa iba’t-ibang parks katulad ng Al Barsha at Mushriff Park o maski sa Jumeirah Beach.

If you’re already into cycling and is seeking some action-packed challenge, you can register for the annual Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge which is now open for registration. It will take place on Friday, 15 December 2017.

This cycle event was launched eight years ago and almost 2,000 cyclists participate from around the world. Four Build-Up rides were organized with the last one taking place on 24 November 2017. The path will be 85km at Al Qudra Cycle Path.

This event will offer fun activities, delicious breakfast provided by Spinneys and games for children. For the kids, they can join the Spinneys Dubai 92 Junior Rides. The timed 2.5km, 15km and 30km rides are designed for 6 to 15 year-olds and will be held at the Dubai Autodrome on Thursday, 14 December.

For all cyclists who wish to register but do not have a bike they have plenty of bike and helmet rental options in the registration process.
